Description
The BM CLS – Type D chassis load simulation system consists of skates rolling on rails fitted to the floor of the inspection pit.
This system features a range of options that allows for a customized configuration.
OPTIONS
- Consists of two I-section steel beams installed on the inspection pit floor.
- Length is made to customer specification.
- Recommended minimum working length: 7 metres (3 metres on each side of the brake tester).
- Skates are connected to the I-section beams on the floor.
- Skates are hooked to the chassis via chains and special BM self-tensioning claws.
- A special “spring coil” ensures that the hydraulic cylinder stays vertical at all times.
- The hydraulic hoses are managed using traditional “energy chains” placed inside the I-beams that protects them against damage.
Advantages
- The hydraulic cylinders stays on the chassis once fitted.
- The operator can fully control the load application from his remote control unit from the vehicle cab.

Installations
- The I-beams are concreted into the floor of the inspection pit.
- Another I-beam is welded onto these.
- CLS skates are then easily installed onto this top I-beam.
- Hydraulic rams are fitted to the skates.
- Retrofit into concrete pit with floor anchor bolts.
